we heart rosy revolver...

This sweet girl is located right here in the South, in Fuquay, North Carolina.
Both my love and I wish we had of known of her work prior to getting married.
She would have made the most gorgeous rings ever for us, I am sure.
Her work really does speak for itself!
Incredible attention for detail mixed with creative thought and a uniqueness that screams beautiful.
I love when an artist takes an idea and makes it all their own, like this.

Check out her shop and blog!
Happy we heart thursday, everyone!
Enjoy!
I am sure you will love this shop the way we do.

wild wednesday at reedy river park, greenville, sc...

(our boys being wild on the underside of the footbridge)
First up, I want to thank all of our faithful readers and friends for putting up with me lately, late posts, not getting back to anyone as quickly as we would like....all of that.
I apologize for our back to school craziness along with my little bout of food poisoning yesterday and last night's insanity of 1 hour of sleep broken up due to Bella now getting croup.
In spite of all that we are loving life, each other and all of you.

Our amazing wild wednesday was spent at Reedy River Park in Greenville, SC.
The back to school shopping trip was concluded with a beautiful afternoon in this gorgeous downtown park.
I will have to say I would love to call this gorgeous city centered around God, nature and arts, our own....maybe one day.
I guess we never know where we will end up in life.
I tend to go with the flow of what I believe God is doing in our lives...
right now I believe it is to love my family;
overcome all the little things life throws us;
play with art and things related;
transform our house into a cozy nest of a home;
spend time finding all the beauty of the Carolinas both in cities, small businesses, and the amazing people that fill these states;
spending time in studying the Bible;
enjoying our friends and the beginnings of a work in our new small organic church.
The afternoon in this beautiful park is just the icing on the cake of life.
Enjoy our wild wednesday with us...

(Don did taste test this massive rosemary plant)

Please take a peek at one of our new readers, Cat's blog.
She did a wild wednesday in my favourite city in the world so far, Vancouver, B.C.
I think she captured its essence to perfection.
She has some amazing photos in her blog that I love to pour over when I am homesick.

Wishing you the best wild wednesday ever!
Love,
all of us

me today...

Alright, so I am not one for domesticity (cleaning that is) but today on this very first day of school...
I am loving the idea of taking the whole day to be domestic and clean up all of our summer chaos.
I probably will visit everyone's blogs later in the day after things are settled and sweetly organized here.
I apologize for being preoccupied with the whole back to school thing, with 4 kiddos it has been insane trying to get it all together. Wishing I had family nearby lately....at least a certain sweet sister of mine.
Maybe I will post something fun later on in the day.
Keep your eyes peeled.
Enjoy your Tuesday!

our favourite screenprinted wonders...

One of my first interests in the arts world was printing. I love the idea of turning artwork into something useable in everyday life and screenprinting is one perfect answer to accomplishing this.
Two of our favourite etsy screenprinting fiends are timberps and maryink.

We may have to make some fall purchases on etsy, along with our last minute back to school shopping trip in Greenville this weekend!
Yay for an excuse to take a trip to one of our favourite places in the South and yay for etsy shops!

Have a great weekend wherever you are!
What are you all up to?

we heart faile...

I know most of you have probably seen the works of this amazing group of artists but I am so enthralled with the show of prayer wheels they did last year.
The hand carved, hand painted logs have this wonderful, visually stimulating essence to them.
The bright colours along with the tactile nature of these pieces have me full of new ideas for new things I want to work on this fall.
I am a total colour addict.
I love the idea of keeping things simple but always fall hard for things overdone and detailed, so these pieces have my heart all melty.
They seem to blend the simple with intricate details, loads of colour and are massively full of fun.
Loving them! (obviously) ;)

Happy 'we heart thursday' everybody!
Did they make you swoon too?
Hoping so!
xoxo
