Maybe it is just being around mid-century homes as a child of the 70's that makes me drawn to these A-frame homes or the fact that I had this one (below) as a child,
(Did any of you have this one too?)
and would love to buy this version for Bella

but whatever it is I find myself dreaming about building one of these on the side of a rocky crag overlooking a river or lake.
Wouldn't you love to step out onto the deck of one of these overlooking natural beauty and soaking up the sun, sniffing the scent of evergreens and sipping a chai.
Now that is something worthy of waking up for in a morning!
If you have any photos of A-frame homes you would like to share with us,
I would give you a big over the internet hug!
Happy Tuesday, friends!
What is your dream home?
xoxo
luv,
~dee

its funny yesterday i was driving in an area i hadnt been before (further west than i usually travel around here) and i fell i love with some woodsy looking a framed houses they looked really sweet and rustic but dont really fit around here unless they are far west because sadly thats were you can find the most trees. trees are sparse east but i like being near the beach. this is a very long comment but those are some groovy houses. i wish i lived in one and was surrounded with a forest with forest friends. that would be nice. you will have to find one and i will visit. xo
peace & love.
I love these! I always associate A-frames with the great outdoors. And mountains.
I remember that fisher-price a-frame house. I don't remember if I had one or if it was a friends, but I remember playing with it. I've been in a few a-frame houses for visits. I love the ones that are overlooking a lake or large body of water. My dream would be to have a home somewhere on the water, whether the ocean or as I always tell my son when he asks, if you could live anywhere, where would it be, I say to have a house on Lake Washington with beach front property.
your new header is amazing! you are incredibly talented at graphic design! xox
Hi Dee! Oh I love the a-frame. I always think of staying at Douglas Fir Resort in Banff Alberta when I think of an A-frame and throwing things down off the loft area when we were kids! It also remings me of eating caramel apples because we would always get those when we stayed there ... Good times:)
I had the A frame from FP as a kid and I truly love them them now because of FP.
I just came home from a three days get away with my husband and two children, and we lived in an A-frame. You can see it on this link: http://www.lalandia.dk/da/feriehuse/Pages/Nordic6Roedby.aspx
mmmm this dream is looking vagely familiar!!!!
