annamaria potamiti...

"The mysterious nature of space"

Every morning...whether tea or coffee, I start my day with a cup, some cheery music, a little stick of incense, curtains peeled open in hopes of letting in the sun but the real joy is in sitting at my table looking up at all of the art while I sip my drink and enjoy.
I hope it is alright that I have a favourite piece and it isn't only because it is an original or because the artist is Canadian and happens to live in my beloved city of Vancouver....
no...
it is simply because it always makes me happy inside.
I love all of its lines, puffy cotton candy spots and the little rainbow peeking out of the campus style boot.

Like its artist, Annamaria Potamiti; it feels deep, thoughtful, cheery, with a sense of humour and fun.
It speaks to my soul and says,
"just for today live outside of the box and live it so others want to too"
(Hoping that isn't stretching your work to far away from its original thought, Annamaria.)
Take a peek at both Annamaria's shop and blog.
I love both!
She is so lovely, creative and talented.
Wishing you all a bit of art in your weekend!
Happy Friday, friends!
xoxo

Beautiful, I love them! I need to remember to take time for myself in the morning more often. I really dislike jumping right into the daytime routine. It's hard not to when you have little kids, I think.

Sounds like we are on the same thoughts today, taking in things that exilarate or bring joy and delight to our senses and help brighten our days and dream our dreams. This art piece definately says alot, but mostly I like reading about your little ritual in the morning and the things that encourage your dreams. Have a great weekend Dee!

So wonderful! Isn't it neat how art touches a part of our spirit that nothing else can and takes us on a journey within a glance! So inspiring (:
