My favorite adventure: Had to be when our family of five went on a four week train trip across Canada and the USA in the summer of 2003. We visited Toronto, Ottawa (for July 1 on Parliament Hill), Montreal, NYC (for July 4 Macy's fireworks off the river!!), Washington, D.C.(unreal pics around the White House, etc), Atlanta (also started our 4 Six Flags visits across USA there and visited local tourist sites), New Orleans (Six Flags and many local tours), Los Angeles (Six Flags), Sacramento (Six Flags and visited my brother), Portland, Seattle, Vancouver and back to Edmonton. We used Via Rail (Canada) and AmTrak (USA). This is one family trip that we will never forget!!

My fave adventure has been when my mum and I took my kids away for a week 2 years back and we drove and drove and drove to some of the most beautiful parts of our country stopping and looking around gorgeous little places that husbands never let us stop at ;) the kids still talk about their time away with us. fun memories. I realllly hope I win!! I love your calendar

when I need some inspiration I create a little adventure for myself, I go to the airport by train and have a coffee with myself there, all those people from all parts of the world, that always inspires me.
And flying by myself for the first time (destination NYC) 2009 and working with streetkids in Brasil and Ruanda..I'd love to have your calender to remind me every day to undertake more adventures!

My favourite adventure would have to be going bush walking with my dad when I was 10. We encountered snakes, spiders and crazy ants, we got lost and it was crazy hot - but I had such a fun time. I love getting out into nature.

My favorite adventure is Staff Training at Hickory Cove at the beginning of each summer... bunches of new kids coming in to work all summer... and they always form into such a tight knit group. it's magical. I love it.

oh so many adventures to choose from Dee...sometimes it can feel like everyday is one!
One of my more resent favorites is one a took with my youngest son this past spring. We hoped a GreyHound to see a girlfriend in Kelowna...he had never traveled via bus before and the bus driver was a star and let him make the announcements on the intercom and called him his co-pilot. I was an awesome time away for the two of us. Also my hubby and I took off for a weekend in Oct. to our favorite place...Tofino...that was GREAT too

My greatest adventure as to date was taking my first plane ride when I was 3 months pregnant, 13 hours from Chicago to Ireland. Then having the great opportunity to explore Ireland.

I just started reading Love Nest about 6 months ago by complete accident. I was at my fav- get out of the way and away from kids spot in downtown Greenville. The Blueberry Frog. I found this blog because they had come to BF and also loved it. I saw the calendars and loved them. 2010 has been a rough year and I stayed close to home. I have been busy and forgot who I was and what I wanted to be. Well watch out 2011!! I don't know what it hold but I am going to take it head on. In 2011 I will be 33 have a 13 year old daughter-pray for me-. Have a 10 year old son, who every year he is alive I thank God. He was on Life Support for 2 weeks when he was born, my parents who live by us are moving back home to the west. We will be without any family within 2,000 miles, And I will be 9 years Ovarian Cancer Free. WOW. I won't be scared any more, I'm going to start my own photography company, celebrate 15 years married to the best hubby ever and live my life. AND most of all not be afraid of dying. I soooo need a calendar to fill up the pages will all the adventures we will take!

Love your calendars!!
My favorite adventure was our honeymoon, 6 years ago. We saved up some money, had no hotel reservations or anything, took 2 weeks off from work and just headed off in our car with our "just married" stuff on it in the direction of Reno. No plans, no direction, no obligations.. it was bliss. Went where we wanted, did what we wanted. Someday when the kiddos are out of the house we want to recreate our trip. I can't imagine a better honeymoon.

i am loving that calendar!

one of my favorite adventures was during spring break of my sophomore year in college. a group of friends and i traveled to north carolina with no real agenda other than to spend a week in the mountains. on our last day, we decide to hike part of the appalachian trail. so we drive up the mountain and it is getting more snowy and icy. [we were south georgians...dressed like we were in south georgia] so we climb this huge mountain in shorts and t-shirts battling the ice and weather.

it turned out to be a great experience that none of us will ever forget!

i hope to win! :)

I know this will sound corny... and I have travelled many countries, for many years and had many adventures... but the biggest adventure for me is motherhood.

From birth to now it has been a wild ride. Both my sons had eventful births, one took 38 hours to arrive and the other shot out in a hurry at home in bed.

They are now 5 and 3 - and this adventure is reviving up to a wild ride!

Happy New Year to you all!

My favorite adventure is parenthood. Nothing can even compare to the excitement, fear, happiness, frustration, wonder, and learning that comes with this experience. And the best part is that you never know what the next day will hold.

My favorite adventure was going fishing with my husband (then fiance). Of course marriage has been a wonderful albeit trying adventure as has motherhood, I so enjoyed our adventures before we were married. I am so excited for the new adventure of being a mother of two, though. That may be the best :)
