little painted creatures in my backyard...

While watering our backyard this morning, I saw a beautiful butterfly trapped in the netting wrapped around our grape vines.  I gently let her out and had to take a few photos of her and her other flighted friends in our flower beds.  It is amazing to me the intricacy of the patterns on their wings.  I am not really a butterfly person by that I mean, I don't collect photos or items printed with pictures of butterflies, but I do have to say when confronted with their beauty in real life, I am always hypnotized by how pretty they are.

I worked on a ton of earrings to go here...

enjoyed a peppermint white mocha with a view of our backyard, even if the grass really does need to be mowed (hint hint)...

spent an evening outdoors with my love with candlelit lanterns...

received some fun mail from a Canadian friend...

watched our sunflowers grow taller than some houses...

we're headed off to pick up our daughter and then out to the mountains tomorrow...
