back on the path...

(A handmade card from a friend who is like a fairy of goodness in my life.)

Well, this past week was a little bit of a botch for us.
Our diet was sabotaged,  sleep was minimum and stress was a little higher than we would prefer.
Our oldest son was in a bus accident.  He is fine along with all of the other students that rode the bus (only minor injuries).  It was a bit frightening though as I traveled in the ambulance into emergency with him.  You just never know after a vehicle accident of this degree.  The young lady who ran the red light in the car who collided with the school bus is in critical condition though.  We pray that she heals quickly and fully.

The next day I had a very minor car accident. Top that with numerous other big changes, etc., I would say that we had a week that was not our finest.

So it was a pleasant surprise when a card from a loving friend showed up in our post box.
She is one of those friends who just knows how to make you smile and can laugh at life's down spots.
I feel rather spoiled and fantastically thankful to have friends like this in my life.
She made me smile and thus gave me the courage to get back on the healthy path we are trying to forge with our lives. (Don and myself, I mean.  Our children/young adults are not so delighted with eating healthier yet....perhaps one day we will convince them.)

So this morning I was up early after a good night's sleep to pray, read, do some juicing of fruits and veggies and get a wee bit of cleaning done.

I have to say,
one of the helpful lessons life has taught me is to not stay down but to pull yourself together and get up after a down spot.
So here's to friends and not staying down!

Also I can't leave without telling you about this sweet and talented friend's cute Etsy shop.
So pop on over and enjoy!

Wishing you all good friends and a great week ahead!
Happy Monday, friends!
xoxo
Love,
